Here is the 24V Gear reduction starter for your CUCV (28MT). This is a rebuilt, quality starter. Steer clear of the imported cheap junk and get one of these bad boys under your truck.
In our opinion this is a very good starter for the CUCV. Easier to install, lighter and plenty tough enough to get the job done!
A Core charge is required with the starter. It is applied at checkout. A refund of $100 will be returned upon the return of a rebuildable core. The method of shipment is your choice. Upon request, we will provide a return label which will be deducted from the refund amount.
This starter replaces the GM P/N 1113591 (27MT) which is a direct drive starter. Note that the direct drive starter support bracket will NOT work on this starter without modification. Tips: Make sure you have good batteries with a good charge. You'd be surprised at the number of problems caused by low voltage batteries. Also, beware of the starter relay under the dash in the CUCV, they can be problematic and have been know to fail. Check out www.steelsoldiers.com for some informative reading.
