Due to several requests we are now offering online the direct drive starter for your CUCV. Original military, rebuilt by our local rebuilder. Steer clear of the imported cheap junk and get one of these originals under your truck.
A core charge is required with the starter. It is applied at checkout. A refund of $75 will be returned upon the return of a rebuildable core. The method of shipment is your choice. Upon request, we will provide a return label which will be deducted from the refund amount.
This is the GM P/N 1113591 (27MT). This starter works with our starter bracket. CUCV Direct Drive Starter bracket P/N 14028931
Tips: Make sure you have good batteries with a good charge. You'd be surprised at the number of problems caused by low voltage batteries. Also, beware of the starter relay under the dash in the CUCV, they can be problematic and have been know to fail. Check out www.steelsoldiers.com for some informative reading.
